Ways for Teens to Make Money Online!

We all need to have goals to have focus and purpose in our lives. We actually have goals everyday. Like me, you probably strive to get to school on time, get good grades, make new friends, and bond with old ones. As you can see, whether you like or not, you have to set goals. You already do it subconsciously.

I have several goals in life, and at this period of my life I don’t know which one I will accomplish if not all. The biggest goals I have are for my future. One day I’d like to become either a successful fashion model, or a successful fashion designer. My other goal would be to become a Super Affiliate Marketer by the time I turn 16. All of these goals have one thing in common… I would LOVE to do any of them. Someone wise (or famous, or both) once said something like “do what you love, and you will never work a day in your life.” It’s important that you love what you do in life, or you will never be happy no matter how successful you are at it, and I hope that affiliate marketing is something that you will love to do.

I can truly see myself accomplishing all of these goals. I’ve modeled before, and I’m even considered a ‘professional model’ because I’ve actually been paid to model. The last show I did was for Tommy Hilfiger, so i’ve already started down the path to completing that goal. To become a fashion designer takes a lot of studying as well as a lot of talent, but to study fashion takes time and money. Unfortunately, they don’t offer this type of class in high school, so I’ll have to wait until college. Affiliate marketing, however, doesn’t require money and you can dedicate time to it when you can… as long as you do it.

Another goal that I have is to help others. I love to help people and to enrich their lives. My main goal at SuperAffiliateTeen.com is to help other teenagers get started in affiliate marketing. I started this web site with the purpose of making it a friendly, helpful, and constructive place to network with other teenagers looking for ways to make money online. Although everyone is welcomed to read and comment on this blog, I want to encourage all the affiliate marketing newbies out there not to be afraid to ask questions, share ideas, or comment on anything. No sincere comment or question is too dumb or stupid. Ask away!

What are you some YOUR goals?

Let’s get the ball rolling, and send me a shout-out below!

Yay!

I’m so excited! Today is the day my website is officially launched. I know what you’re thinking… ‘and it’s about time!’  Well, I feel the same way.

I have so much information to share with you, and am really looking forward to helping you make your first few dollars online with affiliate marketing.

The ‘Featured Video’ is a summary of what this first post is about, so please watch it and let me know what you think. However, if you want to learn more about what this website is all about, read on…

Today is the official launch date for my site. It’s been up for a few weeks, so if you stopped by earlier it might’ve looked blah! Or you might’ve observed some of the design changes I put it through to get it where it is now.

I hope you like the layout, the colors, and everything about it. However, I will say that this is just the beginning. I already have tons of ideas of where I want to take the design next. If you would like to help me, I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions so please, please post them below. I’ll read them all. I might not implement them all, but I’m definitely interested in your opinions, so I’ll be taking notes.

Well, what the heck is all this about, you might be asking yourself…

Well, I’ll tell you my little story…  I just started high school this year, and this summer I made my parents spend a TON of money on me because I’m a cheerleader, so I needed a uniform, then I had to go to cheer camp, and then I needed spending cash while at camp. It doesn’t stop there… then my birthday is in June, so I had to have a party, and then I had to get back-to-school clothes, and so on! Well, because of all that my parents cut back on what they spend for the things that I WANT… which is now almost zilch. Well, I’m a teen, and I have a social life and I’m also high maintenance, so I had to figure out a way to make some extra bling. My dad said he doesn’t see me as the ‘flipping burgers’ type, and frankly, I don’t either. He says I can barely flip a switch. He thinks that’s funny, but I don’t find it a bit amusing.

For all my peeps reading this that do flip burgers, I give you props. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what you do. Lots of my friends have jobs at fast food places, and I envied the fact that they got a nice paycheck for all their hard work.

But, I just don’t fit in in that scene. I tend to be headstrong, and I don’t take orders very well… I give them! But you know what? Some of us never will. Some of us are not cut-out for working 9 to 5, or for someone else. However, I don’t mind working, I don’t mind busting my butt to get something I want. I do it in cheerleading all the time. Its hard work, and I’ll work at a routine until I get it right… but I love cheering. I don’t love reporting to work and making money for someone else, so it makes it that much harder.

You know, it’s ok not to ‘fit in’ all the time. That’s what makes us special. Some of us will never be able to work for someone else, and people around us will just have to accept that we’re different… I happen to believe that those of us that are like this have an ‘entrepreneurial spirit’. I learned this in my marketing class. I learned what an entrepreneur is, and I know that that’s what I want to be.

Well, with the help of my marketing teacher in high school and my parents’ support, I finally figured out a way to make some money using the internet, my computer, and my brain. Since the beginning of the internet, people have made money with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is basically promoting goods and services for a company and then getting paid whenever someone buys those goods or signs up for those services. What is so awesome about affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to actually ever:

1 - Buy the goods or services yourself

2 - Invest any money

3 - Go door-to-door

4 - Do ‘cold-calling’

5 - Leave your house

6 - Bathe

7 - Get dressed

BUT, because most of us here are still students, the last three are optional, and not recommended!

This sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? It does, but that’s the beauty of it. It sounds so fantastic, that more people are not jumping on the bandwagon to do it. There’s a reason why this is good, but I’ll have to reserve that for a later post.

The fact of the matter is that it’s not too good to be true. I’ve been doing this for the past few months, and I’m excited. I’m seeing the money start to roll in, and there’s no stopping it. The only way it’ll stop is if ‘I’ stop. But this work is so much fun, that I don’t see myself stopping but to go out and spend some of that money from time to time.

Through this blog and forum, I hope to provide a family-friendly learning environment for all teenagers from the ages of 13 to 19 that are interested in making money online with affiliate marketing. Disrespectful behavior, inappropriate language, and abuse of any kind will not be tolerated, and will get you banned from this site. Adults and parents are not prohibited from commenting or participating in the forums, but let everyone else know you’re there. SuperAffiliateTeen.com appreciates the support of it’s audience, especially that of parents and experienced professionals in this industry.

So what are you waiting for? Sign-in to the forum, and introduce yourself!

TTFN!

Hi, and welcome to SuperAffiliateTeen.com, where Teens Make Money Online.

I’m officially announcing my launch date as Black Friday! My website will officially be on the Internet on Friday, November 28, 2008 and ready to teach teenagers to make money online.

I regret not having been able to start this project any sooner because then I would have already helped you earn some shopping cash for this season. But, with school, homework, and cheerleading I haven’t had time to put all my thoughts and ideas together… and I have a lot of them!

Through this website I hope to teach teens how to make money online using the same methods I use to earn money using my computer.

My dad says he can’t picture me ‘flipping burgers’ or taking orders from snobby customers. I’m not trying to dis’ those of you that do… don’t get me wrong. I respect all my hardworkin’ peeps out there and please holla’ back with a comment below if ya hear me. I’ve just never been the type to ‘fit in.’ I’ve always had to make my own way, and I guess that’s why I like this Internet affiliate marketing stuff so much. That’s our new word for the day… Affiliate Marketing. You need to think it, smell it, dream it, and live it.

Affiliate Marketing is the promoting and selling of products and services on behalf of other companies. Whoa… I said you wouldn’t have to sell anything, didn’t I? Well, don’t panic! You won’t be selling face-to-face or door-to-door, nor will you have to buy or stock anything to sell. You actually won’t be selling anything. You’ll just be promoting a product or service for another company that will pay you for a sale, a lead, or just an e-mail address. How you go about doing the work and getting paid is what I hope to teach you within the next few days.

Teenagers can make money online with affiliate marketing. And just like a job that you have to report to, it takes work. The big difference between the two is that the amount of money you make depends on how much effort  you put into it, and not limited to the number of hours you work and your hourly pay. Teen affiliate marketers can and are earning a good amount of money using the Internet.

Among other things you WON’T have to do is sign any contracts, pay any money, buy any thing, do anything illegal or immoral, or break any laws. Some things you WILL have to do is talk to your parents if you’re not 18 yet, and get their permission to sign-up for certain things. One of those things is an affiliate network. Affiliate networks are companies that represent hundreds of other companies that have products or services to sell. You have to go through them to get offers to promote. Some companies also have their own affiliate program that you can sign up for. For example, Sears.com has an affiliate program that you can sign-up for directly, and not have to go through an affiliate network.

There’s many ways you can make money online through affiliate marketing, and we’ll study and use all of them. They all have their pro’s and con’s, and some work better for you than others. It all depends on your preferences, the offers you choose to promote, and how fast you want to make the big bucks.

I also hope to land some interviews with some teenage Super Affiliates that are making more money online than a rockstar! With their stories and advice, you’re sure to get motivated and inspired to follow in their footsteps, or like me, blaze your own trail. You’ll also get to see that they’re all kids just like us, but found fame and fortune by unleashing the talents that they had all along within them. You don’t have to be a genius or a financial wizard to do this… you just have to want it.

Please come back on November 28, 2008, so we can get started with some on-the-job-training for your new job… working for yourself!

In the meantime, here’s some homework… Check out my ‘Recommended Affiliate Networks’ to the right. Click on the links and read up on them. There might be a pop quiz!  (j/k)

Peace, out…
