Yay!

I’m so excited! Today is the day my website is officially launched. I know what you’re thinking… ‘and it’s about time!’  Well, I feel the same way.

I have so much information to share with you, and am really looking forward to helping you make your first few dollars online with affiliate marketing.

The ‘Featured Video’ is a summary of what this first post is about, so please watch it and let me know what you think. However, if you want to learn more about what this website is all about, read on…

Today is the official launch date for my site. It’s been up for a few weeks, so if you stopped by earlier it might’ve looked blah! Or you might’ve observed some of the design changes I put it through to get it where it is now.

I hope you like the layout, the colors, and everything about it. However, I will say that this is just the beginning. I already have tons of ideas of where I want to take the design next. If you would like to help me, I’d love to hear your comments and suggestions so please, please post them below. I’ll read them all. I might not implement them all, but I’m definitely interested in your opinions, so I’ll be taking notes.

Well, what the heck is all this about, you might be asking yourself…

Well, I’ll tell you my little story…  I just started high school this year, and this summer I made my parents spend a TON of money on me because I’m a cheerleader, so I needed a uniform, then I had to go to cheer camp, and then I needed spending cash while at camp. It doesn’t stop there… then my birthday is in June, so I had to have a party, and then I had to get back-to-school clothes, and so on! Well, because of all that my parents cut back on what they spend for the things that I WANT… which is now almost zilch. Well, I’m a teen, and I have a social life and I’m also high maintenance, so I had to figure out a way to make some extra bling. My dad said he doesn’t see me as the ‘flipping burgers’ type, and frankly, I don’t either. He says I can barely flip a switch. He thinks that’s funny, but I don’t find it a bit amusing.

For all my peeps reading this that do flip burgers, I give you props. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what you do. Lots of my friends have jobs at fast food places, and I envied the fact that they got a nice paycheck for all their hard work.

But, I just don’t fit in in that scene. I tend to be headstrong, and I don’t take orders very well… I give them! But you know what? Some of us never will. Some of us are not cut-out for working 9 to 5, or for someone else. However, I don’t mind working, I don’t mind busting my butt to get something I want. I do it in cheerleading all the time. Its hard work, and I’ll work at a routine until I get it right… but I love cheering. I don’t love reporting to work and making money for someone else, so it makes it that much harder.

You know, it’s ok not to ‘fit in’ all the time. That’s what makes us special. Some of us will never be able to work for someone else, and people around us will just have to accept that we’re different… I happen to believe that those of us that are like this have an ‘entrepreneurial spirit’. I learned this in my marketing class. I learned what an entrepreneur is, and I know that that’s what I want to be.

Well, with the help of my marketing teacher in high school and my parents’ support, I finally figured out a way to make some money using the internet, my computer, and my brain. Since the beginning of the internet, people have made money with affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is basically promoting goods and services for a company and then getting paid whenever someone buys those goods or signs up for those services. What is so awesome about affiliate marketing is that you don’t have to actually ever:

1 - Buy the goods or services yourself

2 - Invest any money

3 - Go door-to-door

4 - Do ‘cold-calling’

5 - Leave your house

6 - Bathe

7 - Get dressed

BUT, because most of us here are still students, the last three are optional, and not recommended!

This sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? It does, but that’s the beauty of it. It sounds so fantastic, that more people are not jumping on the bandwagon to do it. There’s a reason why this is good, but I’ll have to reserve that for a later post.

The fact of the matter is that it’s not too good to be true. I’ve been doing this for the past few months, and I’m excited. I’m seeing the money start to roll in, and there’s no stopping it. The only way it’ll stop is if ‘I’ stop. But this work is so much fun, that I don’t see myself stopping but to go out and spend some of that money from time to time.

Through this blog and forum, I hope to provide a family-friendly learning environment for all teenagers from the ages of 13 to 19 that are interested in making money online with affiliate marketing.
